You must first complete our online application form by clicking ENLIST at the top of the page. Following that, a member of staff will contact you to organise a 15-20-minute interview. This process is to identify who you are as a person and what level of training you may need and also whether you will be a good asset to our unit.
When will I have my interview and what will happen during it?
A member of staff from the Recruitment and Retention Office will be assigned directly to you. They will be as flexible as possible in order to time the interview to your schedule. At the appointed time, they will invite you to join them in our TeamSpeak server and join you in the RRO channel. The interview itself will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and RRO will guide you through the process in a friendly and professional manner. Various areas will be covered including your general character, attitude, experience and response to situational questions. At the end, RRO will ask you to verbally agree to our activity policy. After this, your application will be formally accepted if successful and you will receive a welcome pack inducting you into the unit as a Recruit. You will hold this rank until you pass Phase 1.
What happens on Phase 1?
You will go through all necessary modules to prepare you for deployment into an infantry section, guided by an experienced instructor.
Which company will I be placed in after Phase 1?
The unit tries to meet each individual’s wishes, but recruits are assigned to X Company first because of the roles that need to be filled.
What roles are there in an Armoured Battalion after Phase 1?
All Fusiliers start in their Battalion as Combat Infantrymen after Phase 1. Thereafter the regiment offers the widest possible array of roles available within the Infantry, including:
Fire Support Group weapons specialist – Javelin, Heavy Machine Gun
This list is not exhaustive; there are also plans for aviation and medical services.
Who can I speak to about the unit?
If you require more information with regards to joining or you simply just want to ask a question, you can personally speak to any member from the unit, you can engage within our forums or join our Teamspeak 3 server and someone will point you in the right direction.
To operate with us in this unit it is essential you have got the required software installed before applying. If you have any questions about any of these please dont hesitate to ask. Provided the list below, breifly directs you in the right direction to becoming a successful candidate.
Arma is a openworld virtual military shooter developed by Bohemia Interactive. Arma is the only game we play, without this you will not be able to join the unit.
Teamspeak is our main communication tool, without this you will not be able to communicate with us in the fight. Our repository will direct you the correct version to be installed so dont worry too much about the version you download. Our teamspeak server address is, ts3.1rrf.net
We use Arma3Sync to collect from our personal repository of modifications for our members, which is a way we can assure every member is synced with our modpack for operations, making sure everybody is on the same page. Which is a unit requirement that you show willingness to download our additional mods.
Your first step in becoming a member of our group is to complete an application. To do this you will need to go to our application form and complete this in as much detail as possible.
Once your application is posted, a member of RRO will need to review your application before sending you a Private Message issuing further steps.
Step 2. The Interview
Once your application has been posted and was reviewed by one of our lads in RRO, you will receive a PM with directions for your next step. This step is the interview!
At this stage you will be expected to have Teamspeak 3 downloaded and installed. You will also need to respond to the PM and list any available times that suit you for a interview.
The interview will take about 15-20 minutes.
After your interview, the RRO staff will review your application and approve it before you are accepted as a Recruit. Once you are accepted, you should change your username to "YourSurname" on our enjin site and you will begin your next step in becoming a member in this unit.
Step 3. Phase 1 Training
After passing the application process, you will be given your Recruit Tags and forum access to the Recruit Section access levels.
Your next step will be to pass Phase 1 within the next week or two.
Once you've passed Phase 1 you will then be assigned to a Section by Platoon HQ and promoted to Fusilier, after which you'll have become a full member of the First Fusiliers!
